HELLO, I'M AMY
AEA STAGE MANAGER

ABOUT
ABOUT ME
Welcome! I’m Amy Rauchwerger, an AEA Stage Manager living in New York City. Originally from sunny Miami, FL I am currently working on braving the winter temperatures and embracing a change in seasons that allows me to wear all my fun crocheted makes!
Growing up in the theatre atmosphere shaped my accepting nature and multitasking abilities. Shortly after graduating from Florida State University with my B.A. in Theatre and Creative Writing, I was welcomed into the Zoetic Stage Family. Zoetic Stage, an AEA company housed in the Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts where I spent most of my twenties alongside fabulous theatre makers creating throughout provoking theatre under the artistic direction of Stuart Meltzer. I worked alongside Zoetic as their Resident Stage Manager and Company Manager for many years, not only shaping the company but also shaping my own management practices. While stationed in Miami, FL I had the honor to work at various theatres across South Florida such as: Zoetic Stage, Gablestage, City Theatre, SMDCAC, The Wick, and The Broward Center for the Performing Arts. There are incredible projects I have had a hand in shaping from an organization standpoint such as Overnight Theatre Project with Theatre Lab, and large scale award ceremonies such as The Carbonell Awards. In 2016 I accepted a position as Production Coordinator at the South Dade Cultural Arts Center. I spent two wonderful years there with a fantastic team as we presented and produced theatre, music, and dance specifically for the community the center serves.
In 2020 I embarked on my next adventure. I was craving further knowledge of my field, and was ready for a change of pace. After being accepted into Columbia University’s MFA Stage Management Program, I made the move to New York City. Beginning what felt like a whole new career was a challenge, and one I am incredibly proud of. I am now a full time freelance stage manager and my work has taken me all over the country, working with exciting theatre makers and collaborators that push my managerial skills constantly! It is as fun as it is rewarding, and I am always excited to see where my path leads next.
CURRENT UPDATE
I am currently immersed in the winter wonderland of Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania, where I’m having a wonderful time serving as the Production Stage Manager for Elf: The Musical!

This process moved at lightning speed—two weeks of rehearsal in NYC, followed by just three days of tech in New Hope before opening. It’s been a true whirlwind, and the holiday performance schedule is no small feat.
Working with John Tartaglia and Shannon Lewis, alongside the exceptional team at Bucks County Playhouse, has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity. The cast is spectacular, and I’m fairly certain that if I ever watch the movie, I’ll spend the entire time wondering where Chris Stevens and John Bolton are. (As someone who doesn’t watch Christmas movies, Elf was an entirely new story for me!)

While I’ll be sad to leave the snow behind, I’ve been told the cold begins to lose its charm after Christmas—so I’m happily trading winter coats for sunshine with a flight to Miami, Florida.

I’ll be returning to Miami New Drama for two back-to-back productions, English Only and The Zionists. Diving back into new work with this company feels especially exciting. After our collaboration on Jonathan Spector’s Birthright last season, we’ve built a strong foundation together. I’m looking forward to welcoming new faces on these upcoming projects and, as always, spending time at home with family and friends in Miami.

Elf @ Bucks County Playhouse runs November 21 2025- January 4th 2026

This design by Natalie Taveras is one of my favorites! We had a double doughnut turn table, which is just a fun as it sounds.... Lighting Design by Rebecca Montero

The Curious Incident Cast as they take their final bows. This was one of the special ones. It was our most challenging show to produce, yet--everyone was a team player and it was an unforgettable experience.

We had a special visitor for one of our performances of S4K Time to Play!

Jeni, who portrayed Fosca in our production of Passion, brought us all very "in-character" valentine gifts when we had our long tech tech on Cupid's holiday.

Nilo Cruz's world premier was so exciting we even made it into a Japanese Newspaper in 2015!

Stripped was my first show PSMing with Zoetic, it holds a special place in my heart.

WOW! This show is a wild ride! Elena plays over 20 different characters and I call over 300 cues in 90 minutes! #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
